Travel day

Well, as if I hadn't done enough traveling to get here already, now we have to fly south. At least it should be warmer, right? The very large JFMF group is splitting into our groups of 20 and heading to our prefecture visits. I am going to Yukuhashi City in Fukuoka prefecture on the island of Kyushi. The flight was only two hours but with checkout of the hotel, check in at the airport, luggage a and then travel to our hotel we didn't do too much else. Actually, we aren't there yet.
We've stopped for the night about an hour from the airport in a little hotel on the beach, with not much else around.
There was enough daylight to walk on the beach, but it's cold and a little windy. My view is awesome overlooking the Sea of Japan on one side and fields, mountains, and a village on the other. Dinner will be at a restaurant called Joyfully, which is basically a Denny's that can serve sushi, seriously.
I'm looking forward to a good night's rest!

Denny's???? That made me laugh as expected some American restaurant chains, but Denny's was not one of them. It was neat to see pictures of the ocean and wide open spaces, something you don't think of when imagining Japan. Ann
